177. Barbie Movie and the Patriarchy
Adam and Marisol go to the movies! After seeing the latest Barbie movie (during a day date) they sit in the parking lot and record their knee jerk reactions. They dive into Ryan Goslings partial of Ken, and how he lives out his patriarchal dream; Michael Cera's role as Allen and why Adam can't shake the "nice guys finish last" trope, and how Margo Robbie's "Stereotypical Barbie" scene in the park had them catching feelings. The couple discusses the decisive points made in the film, how Barbie break-ups are a barometer for some viewers, and how at the end of the day, Barbieland was made by men. Listen in as the couple talks all things Pink...and patriarchy
